Inspired by a decorative box by Austrian architect and designer Josef Hoffmann, Fluted Chambre - Mirror Petite frames the viewer's reflection within arched surfaces, recalling the quiet tension of water just after touch. It collects the gaze and holds the atmosphere that surrounds it, catching passing thoughts and softening the edge of shadows. Set within Villa Pestarini, Maggie Pei's use of stainless steel honours modernist forms.
